Spelling out a number (for a contract amount or a check, say) needs grammatical agreement — gender, case, plural forms — which makes it slow and error-prone to write by hand. This tool generates the correct spelled-out text automatically.
How to use it
- Enter a number and its spelled-out form in Ukrainian, Russian, or English appears instantly.
- Turn on the currency amount-in-words mode (hryvnia, dollar, euro, ruble) to get the format used in financial documents.
- Negative numbers are supported — "minus" is prepended to the spelled-out text.
Common uses
- Filling in an amount in words on a contract, invoice, or bank document.
- Generating text for a check or payment order, where the amount needs to be spelled out alongside the digits.
- Double-checking the spelled-out amount on an already-completed document.
Things to keep in mind
Spelling out a currency amount involves grammatical agreement between the number and the unit name (one dollar, two dollars, five dollars) — trickier than simply writing a number as words.
Agreement rules differ between languages — the same number can agree with a noun differently in Ukrainian, Russian, or English.
